I would like to volunteer on the day – is this possible?
Yes! We rely on volunteers to ensure the day runs smoothly and there are various roles available; please email Ali Harris or phone 01539 439749 for further information.
I have paid my entry fee, why are you asking me to fundraise for Brathay Trust as well?
The marathon and 10 in 10 are Brathay’s flagship fundraising events. The sponsorship raised by runners each year helps to change the lives of young people all over England, however your entry fee only covers the cost of the organising the event itself. It is used to pay for things like temporary road closures, 1st aid provision on the course, water etc. Every extra pound you are able raise in sponsorship will go towards helping those young people most in need. All contributions, large or small, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Can I stay at Brathay before the race?
Yes! We have a range of different types of accommodation available. For details and prices of accommodation for 2012 click here Contact details for finding other local accommodation are also included.
