Brathay 10 in 10 and Windermere Marathon

Brathay 10 in 10 Club

Brathay 10 in 10 Club

The Brathay 10 in 10 has now been successfully completed by 43 dedicated endurance athletes. However, between them there have been 55 completions of the challenge - due to some runners returning to the event. Clearly 10 times around England's largest lake is not enough for some people! Steve Edwards has now completed the 10 in 10 four times - a staggering 40 laps of Windermere! Michelle Atkins and David Bayley have completed the event three times, and five others have returned to complete their second 10 in 10 - including Adam Holland with his impressive record breaking runs in 2009 and 2010. Since Sir Christopher Ball's initial idea, and the first tentative attempt to run 10 marathons over consecutive days in 2007, the event has grown in scale and reputation. We will be selecting 20 athletes shortly to train and fundraise ahead of the 2012 Brathay 10 in 10. Bear Grylls statement "An epic challenge that will require an epic strength of mind" has been seen to be true of all members of the distinctive Brathay 10 in 10 club.
